Employment Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Employment Support Specialist to join our team. As an Employment Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting and guiding clients to attain suitable, meaningful employment opportunities that lead to sustainable employment outcomes.

You will use your excellent customer service skills to build rapport with your clients, assist them on their employment journey and to overcome barriers to employment.

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders as part of managing the referral & intake process of job seekers into their chosen program.
  • Assessment of job seeker skills, abilities, identification of barriers and intervention strategies.
  • In consultation with our job seekers, develop and maintain work preparation strategies, job seeking strategies, tailored interventions (including other service providers) and employment support activities.
  • Reverse marketing of job seekers to achieve sustainable employment opportunities.
  • Provide pre-employment assistance through vocational counselling, training, job search skills, and work trials/work experience to increase capacity for employment.
Required Skills & Qualifications

A strong background in customer service is essential, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Our successful candidate will be able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of productivity.
