We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Principal Electrical Engineer.

About the Role:
  • As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and proposing electrical engineering solutions to clients, including bid preparation and review. This will involve managing electrical engineering project requirements and overseeing execution.
  • You will participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and review projects to ensure customer requirements are met on time.
  • In addition, you will provide direction during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. You will also manage a team of engineers on specific projects to include defining project requirements and supervising progress.
  • To be successful in this role, you will need to stay up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in electrical engineering for the target industry.
  • Your communication skills should enable effective interaction with the electrical engineering team and project stakeholders.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in electrical engineering for the mining, minerals processing and materials handling sectors is essential.
  • A consulting background in client-facing roles and advanced communication skills to formulate and propose solutions to complex problems are desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of fundamental electrical engineering requirements, applicable local and international standards, and statutory specifications is necessary.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications in engineering or management and professional registration or working towards Chartered credential are desired.
Requirements:
  • A recognized electrical engineering degree is required.
  • Australian residency or possession of a valid visa with work entitlement in Australia is necessary.
