After School Care Educator Role

The After School Care Educator position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the delivery of our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) program. We are partnering with Siena Catholic Primary School in Lucas, Ballarat VIC, to launch this initiative from October onwards.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual who can create a safe, engaging learning environment for children in OSHC. As an After School Care Educator, you will be responsible for delivering daily quality activities that are safe, fun, stimulating, and carry educational value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and supporting children during after-school care hours
  • Preparing and serving healthy food options
  • Creating an engaging and happy environment for children
  • Building meaningful relationships with colleagues, children, families, school leaders, and the school community

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Certificate III or higher in Children's Services, Early Childhood, School Aged Care (or studying towards) or equivalent
  • A strong focus on child safety and appreciation for mandatory reporting
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • A current Working with Children Check and First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management Training
