Job Summary

Daracon Group, a leading civil engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced Leading Hand - Crushing Operator to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional results and exceeding client expectations.

About the Role

This position will see you working across our various quarry and contract crushing operations in New South Wales. As a Leading Hand - Crushing Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of crushing equipment, including loaders, excavators, and crushing machinery. You will also be required to work away from home on a regular basis, but will be compensated accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the operation of crushing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment, performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve crushing operations, increasing productivity and reducing costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and improve overall performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in crushing operations, with a strong understanding of crushing equipment and processes.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and cooperation.
  • High level of physical fitness, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
