About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at Followmont Transport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance checks and servicing to ensure fleet compliance standards.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues with engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Perform repairs on mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, and suspension systems.
  • Conduct safety inspections to ensure all systems and components meet safety standards and regulations.
  • Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Communicate with operational leaders and drivers to ensure work is completed within timelines.
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance work comply with industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and NHVR regulations.

Requirements:

  • A valid qualification for the repair and maintenance of heavy commercial vehicles (Certificate III in HV Mechanical Technology).
  • Proof of experience within the Heavy Diesel repair industry.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to plan your workload and required parts.
  • A dedicated commitment to Safety and Quality Assurance Policies.
