About the Role

The Acute Care Team seeks applications for a Mental Health Co-Responder (Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Social Worker or Clinical Nurse Consultant) on a permanent basis.

Your Opportunity:

The Co-Responder Program aims to prevent and resolve mental health crisis situations through enhanced cooperation between Queensland Health and Queensland Ambulance Service.

About the Team

Acute Care Services provide 24/7 specialized mental health services to consumers within our catchment area. This includes the Mental Health Inpatient Unit and the Acute Care Team. We focus on improving mental health outcomes for individuals with severe mental illness who have become acutely unwell.

Our teams, including the Crisis Support Space and Step Up Step Down programs, focus on hospital avoidance and ongoing recovery-focused care.
