We're seeking an experienced General Practitioner to join our team in North QLD on a casual basis. This role is ideal for someone looking for flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to work in a diverse and interesting medical environment.
As a civilian GP within our Health Centre, you will be responsible for providing General Practice consultations, referrals, and health screenings. You will also conduct occupational medical and health assessments for Defence personnel to determine employability and deployability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing medical advice to Base and Unit Commanders regarding employability and deployability of individual members
- Providing supervision to Medical Officers in accordance with FRACGP guidelines
- Conducting health screenings and providing medical advice to Defence personnel
This is an excellent opportunity for a GP with an interest in occupational health and sports medicine to make a real contribution to the provision of health services to our Defence Force members.
About YouWe're looking for someone who:
- Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Is a personable and passionate GP with a genuine commitment to delivering health outcomes for our Defence members
You will also require:
- Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a medical practitioner in Australia with AHPRA
- A Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM)
- Accreditation as a General Practice Trainer at Principal/Lead Supervisor level or commitment to achieving this accreditation
