SalaryThe successful candidate can expect a salary of $110K + superannuation, providing a competitive remuneration package that reflects their skills and experience.
Job DescriptionThis exciting role will see you working closely with the Finance Manager and CFO to champion critical accounting responsibilities for essential workers. As a Senior Aged Care Financial Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of month-end management reports, quarterly financial reports to the Commonwealth Government, and annual audited and statutory reporting.
- Champion AR, monthly billings, issuing statements for all resident accounts.
- Entering cash receipts
- Debt collection
- Manage residents' queries regarding statements / fee information.
- Safeguard and maintain Medicare and Services Australia fees and payments.
- Monthly preparation of debtor report.
- Entering journals for the AR entries
- Payroll Processing fortnightly 800+ employees.
- Responding to management or employees' queries
- Reconciliation and payroll journals
- Month End Duties
- Prepare monthly P/L reports actioning variance between actual and budget
- Assist Balance sheet reconciliations,
- Maintain chart of accounts,
- Manage monthly accrual and prepayment schedules and their reconciliations.
- Monthly intercompany interest calculation for the fund
- Asset management:
This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing your multitasking skills and transactional payroll and financial accounting experience. You will be part of a well-established finance team, working on various assets of accounts receivable, payable, and payroll.
Required Skills and Qualifications- CPA qualified.
- Two plus years' experience as an accountant in residential aged care in Australia.
- Working in a volume-driven timeline-oriented environment.
- Excellent organisation and multitasking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- A person with a can-do attitude, who can own the role and who thrives on variety.
