Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mine Production Engineer to join our high-performing team at MMG Rosebery. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing support to deliver against physical plans and strategic objectives by providing timely and workable short-term mine production schedules and drill and blast planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement drill and blast plans for production stoping
  • Develop and maintain fill plans
  • Conduct stope reconciliations and reviews of blasting performance
  • Develop and deliver short-term schedules
  • Maintain close working relationships with the Mine Operation Teams and Planning team
  • Ensure operational management are adequately briefed on technical matters to make informed decisions
  • Maintain and optimize documentation to outline operational processes
  • Continuously seek to improve existing scheduling and operational performance
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Mine Engineering or equivalent with prior drill and blast experience
  • Experience in large-scale open stoping underground mining operations
  • Sound understanding of underground drill and blast, mine production, and development methods, mine scheduling, and ventilation
  • Sound practical experience with mine planning software (Deswik preferred)
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with a demonstrated ability to contribute and work effectively in a team
