This position requires a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer with expertise in coating and welding to join our team at MatchaTalent. As a key member of our operations team, you will have the opportunity to work hands-on with a variety of rotating and stationary equipment, contributing significantly to our advanced energy company's success.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support in coating and welding, including testing and issuing related technical reports.
- Offer technical consultations to Shops Operating Repair Units and Contractor Shops.
- Support field installation, maintenance, and repair of rotating equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and modify existing equipment, focusing on cost reductions and process improvements.
- Prepare design engineering packages for rotating equipment.
- Conduct technical investigations for shop repair return jobs, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
- Introduce and apply the latest technology in coating and welding methodologies.
- Develop and revise the department's technical procedures and standards.
- Mentor and share knowledge with junior engineers, quality inspectors, and technicians.
- Provide technical input for purchasing specifications and evaluate technical proposals.
- Collaborate with department engineers, Consulting Services Department (CSD), other company departments, and manufacturers.
- Coordinate with In-House Repair Units, Quality Assurance units, In-Kingdom Contractors, and vendors for shop repair work scopes.
- Participate in vendor and customer exchange meetings.
- Bachelor's Degree in Welding Engineering.
- At least 15 years of hands-on experience in thermal coating and welding.
- Proven experience in thermal coating, laser cladding, and welding.
- Experience with rotating equipment in an original equipment manufacturing facility or a certified repairing facility.
- Welding certification from AWS or an equivalent organization.
- Excellent English reading and writing skills.
