The Company
This international Tier 1 Oil & Gas drilling contractor has been in operation for over 30 years, with a strong international presence and a reputation for reliable performance and superior services. Due to unprecedented growth in Australia and multiple contracts won with multi-billion dollar organisations, they are seeking an experienced mechanic to manage and maintain the fleet of heavy vehicles and trailers.
The Position
The Mechanic will oversee and maintain an effective fleet maintenance program, ensuring the safe operation of all equipment and completing repairs in a timely manner. The role is ongoing/fulltime and 3:3 week on/off rosters, with mobilisation from your nearest capital city.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the fleet of heavy vehicles and trailers
- Oversee the effective fleet maintenance program
- Ensure the safe operation of all equipment
- Complete repairs in a timely manner
Requirements
- Auto mechanic qualification and experience, with diesel mechanic preferred
- Microsoft office experience
- Excellent knowledge of trucks (Kenworth) and trailers
- Knowledge of requirements to run mass management system (NHVR)
- Managing breakdown situations
