RMIT University Archives seeks a highly motivated Digital Archivist to manage the institution's digitally significant collections. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for the appraisal, arrangement, and description of hybrid and born-digital collections.

You will work collaboratively with staff across the Library to ensure the effective management of RMIT's digitally significant collections. This includes developing and implementing workflows and processes for acquisition and ongoing stewardship of digital collections.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop procedures and investigate tools, workflows, and processes
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and archival standards
  • Participating in professional networks and consulting with industry colleagues

A strong understanding of digital preservation principles and practices is essential for this role.
