We are seeking experienced and passionate Care Aides to join our Aged Care Team at Silver Chain Group Limited. As a Care Aide, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care and support to our clients in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver personal care tasks, including showering, grooming, and toileting, to maintain clients' independence and dignity.
- Assist with medication management, meal preparation, and domestic assistance to ensure clients' physical and emotional needs are met.
- Provide social support and companionship to clients, promoting their participation in community activities and enhancing their overall well-being.
- Follow a predetermined schedule, traveling from home to home, and utilizing a digital schedule and care plan via a mobile app to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
- Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, HACC, or Disability is highly desirable, although not essential.
- Minimum 3 months of relevant care worker experience for those with a relevant Certificate, or 6+ months of experience for those without a relevant Certificate.
- Experience working in a home care or community setting is highly desirable.
- A valid Driver's License with unrestricted access to a registered vehicle, which is appropriately insured and in good condition, is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
- Ability and willingness to work autonomously in the community, referring to a digital schedule and care plan, via a mobile app, is essential.
- $34.69 per hour + superannuation.
- Travel allowance of $0.99 per kilometer.
- Provided with a mobile phone for work purposes.
- 17.5% annual leave loading and excess leave cash out options.
- 4-6 weeks of annual leave per year, with the ability to purchase up to 4 weeks of additional leave per year.
