The Molecular Pathology laboratory is a diagnostic service that detects microorganisms by identifying their unique DNA or RNA using techniques like PCR (polymerase chain reaction). This allows for rapid, sensitive, and specific diagnosis of infectious diseases from bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working in the evening, on public holidays, and/or weekends
  • Providing diagnostic and consultative services to medical specialists and general practitioners and their patients in hospital and in the community

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of molecular pathology
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
