Job Summary:

Raytheon Australia is seeking a highly skilled Field Technician to join our Woomera Test Range Support Services (WTRSS) program. As a key member of our technical workforce, you will contribute to the success of the program by providing specialist maintenance services to telemetry and communications equipment, deploying and operating instrumentation trailers, and producing maintenance reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist maintenance services to telemetry and communications equipment, including light grade and heavy grade maintenance.
  • Deploy and operate instrumentation trailers across the Woomera Test Range in support of defence trials.
  • Produce maintenance reports and meet key performance indicators for technical compliance.
  • Contribute to system health indicators for production and program management.
  • Provide configuration management support to selected mission systems.
  • Support activities for breakdown spares, repairable items, and support and test equipment.
  • Provide technical support in the conduct of engineering and maintenance services and activities for the customer.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Electronics or Telecommunications.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience in the application of radio frequency and communication equipment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience in electrical and data interface standards and protocols.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience in operating systems/server systems/network protocols.
  • Knowledge of the Defence Technical Regulatory Framework.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Australian citizenship.
  • Active or ability to obtain Negative Vetting 1 Australian Defence Security Clearance.
