Cultural Ambassador for Academic Excellence

The Acting Head of Cultural Inclusion plays a crucial role in fostering an inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds. This position involves coordinating the English as an Additional Language (EAL) program across all year levels, 7-12.
Main Responsibilities:- Program Development: Design and implement curricula that cater to the needs of EAL students, refugee students, and students who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
- Operational Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the EAL program, including compliance reporting and student well-being.
- Student Support Services: Provide holistic support to students who require it, taking into account their individual needs and experiences.
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary teaching practices and Australian curriculum frameworks.
- Able to model inclusive teaching practices and create a welcoming environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
- Registered or able to register with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
- A commitment to Catholic education and the safety and wellbeing of children.
