Animal Care Professional Job

This role plays a vital part in the animal care team, responsible for maintaining high standards of animal housing and ensuring the welfare of animals within the facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and cleaning of animal enclosures, including disposal of solid waste.
  • Daily feeding & watering of all animals, with regular enrichment activities to promote animal well-being.
  • Ensuring that animals are accommodated in accordance with industry best practices.

In addition, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in animal welfare, handling and caring for animals.
  • Effective communication skills, enabling them to interact with staff, volunteers, the public and community groups.
  • Problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and computer literacy skills.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
