Job Description

We are seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our team at Victor Harbor, where you will deliver high-quality nursing care while supervising and guiding personal care workers.


Your key responsibilities include promoting independence, helping residents regain their confidence and engaging them in meaningful activities.


You will work collaboratively with other staff and qualified practitioners to provide proactive person-centred service and support.



  • Promote independence and help residents regain their confidence and engage in meaningful activities.
  • Work positively and collaboratively with other staff and qualified practitioners.
  • Ensure medications are administered in a timely and safe manner.
  • Provide assistance, guidance, direction, support, mentoring and coaching to Personal Carers.
  • Maintain current knowledge of contemporary best practice clinical care within the scope of enrolled nursing practice.
  • Report any risks that have the potential to cause an accident or injury.
  • Keep detailed records and ensure comprehensive handovers between shifts.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:



  • A Diploma of Nursing with current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) and Current CPR Certificate (HLTAID009).
  • At least 1-2 years of experience working as an Enrolled Nurse in an Aged Care Environment.
  • Sound communication skills with a level of English literacy that enables you to speak in a manner that older people can understand.
  • The ability to read written instructions and write clearly and concisely.
  • Exceptional time management skills to manage your workload and support other staff.
  • High level understanding of the requirements to support residents living with dementia.
  • Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Standards particularly as they relate to accreditation.


Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum
