Salary: $85,000 plus 11.5% superannuation per annum

The successful candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance management, preferably in the food industry, with a proven track record of driving business outcomes through management system processes. You will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address quality issues proactively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance strategies, policies, and processes to ensure top-tier product quality
  • Lead the inspection of fruits to meet specifications for size, appearance, taste, and shelf life
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with national and international food safety regulations, including HACCP, SQF, and other relevant quality standards
  • Collaborate with production and packaging teams to identify quality issues and work proactively to resolve them
  • Oversee all aspects of quality control, including produce inspection and documentation
  • Conduct regular audits of suppliers and distribution facilities to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner
  • Train and mentor staff on quality assurance protocols and best practices

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance management, preferably in the food industry
  • Proven experience in quality assurance, ideally within the fresh produce, agriculture, or food manufacturing industries
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, and other quality management systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address quality issues proactively
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement
