Job Description


We are seeking a skilled VR Technician to join our team for a busy season of sport. The role is primarily technical, requiring on-site work at various stadium locations, usually on weekends.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend live outside broadcasts as the primary VR Tech at various locations
  • Set up and operate VR systems and broadcast camera equipment at live outside broadcasts (involves physical labour)
  • General maintenance of VR systems

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills


Excellent time management and prioritisation skills


Ability to keep a level head with the pressures of live television broadcast


Willingness to learn and ability to absorb information quickly


Strong self-confidence

Experience


Broadcast Virtual has a well-developed training package and will provide training for the software involved in the VR delivery, although experience using visual and/or technical software is beneficial.


Experience working with computer hardware is beneficial


Experience in a technical role in either the broadcast or IT industry or similar is highly advantageous


Benefits:

  • Nice to have: some working technical knowledge of camera systems, some working technical knowledge of video signals, OB experience
