About the Role

This is a Full-Time position at RAAF Williams defence base in Laverton, Melbourne. We seek an experienced Culinary Executive to manage back-of-house operations, overseeing personnel in food service production, including routine meals, in-flight rations, fresh field rations, and Mess functions.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  1. Leading a team of 6 chefs and a kitchen hand
  2. Operating large-volume cooking equipment
  3. Managing corporate events and functions
  4. Effective cost and budget management
  5. Fostering relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  6. Demonstrating flexibility and teamwork
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. Commercial Cookery Certificate III or above (or equivalent)
  2. Experience in a large commercial kitchen environment
  3. Strong leadership and communication skills
  4. Ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities
  5. Able to work well under pressure and make quick decisions
  6. Excellent attitude towards work and a willingness to learn
