Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Emergency Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our emergency and critical care department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our emergency medicine services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide emergency and critical care to patients, including triage, diagnosis, and treatment
- Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, including specialists, registrars, and nurses, to deliver high-quality patient care
- Contribute to the development of our emergency medicine services, including the development of protocols and guidelines
- Participate in on-call rotations, including evenings, nights, and weekends
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in emergency and critical care medicine, and apply this knowledge to improve patient outcomes
- 2+ years of experience working as an emergency or general practice veterinarian
- Experience working in a busy multi-disciplinary hospital is highly regarded
- Availability to work a sustainable roster, including a combination of day, night, and evening shifts, including 1:3 weekends and some public holidays
- Ability to work sole charge and manage routine emergency presentations
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in emergency and critical care medicine
- Competitive remuneration commensurate with experience
- 4 weeks Annual Leave
