Job Title: Mobile Plant Mechanic

Location: Yatala

Hourly Rate: $61.50 including all allowances + Penalties

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Mechanic to join our team at Aston Advantage. As a Mobile Plant Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing rollers and compactor equipment, including engines, hydraulics, and electrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with rollers and compactor equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing tasks to ensure equipment is in good working condition
  • Drive a Medium Rigid Truck to transport equipment and tools
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills
  • Experience with general servicing and maintenance
  • Medium Rigid Truck license

Benefits:

  • Yearly bonus (based on company performance)
  • Yearly rate increase (3% or CPI, whichever is higher)
  • Accommodation provided in motels for road trips
  • Use of company truck for personal purposes

Working Conditions:

Operating hours are from 6am to 6pm, with overtime available after 8 hours per day. Penalty rates apply for starting earlier than 6am or later than 6pm. There's also an option for Saturday overtime, with a minimum of 4 hours paid even if only 1 hour is worked.
