Registered Nurse Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team on a part-time basis at our clinic.

This dynamic cancer clinic offers state-of-the-art access to radiation oncology, medical oncology, diagnostics, and clinical trials in a purpose-built facility providing comfort and privacy for patients.

The role involves consultation-style appointment reviews with patients receiving treatment and has a high level of autonomy, supported by the NUM, CNC's, CNE, and our friendly nursing team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring patients' physical and psychological needs are met.
  • Effectively manage the patients seen each day.
  • Facilitate effective lines of communication with all staff and provide feedback and up-to-date information regarding patients.
  • Ensure all patient interaction is documented, communicated, and actioned.
  • Monitor and maintain procedures, protocols, practices, and clinical guidelines in line with best practice oncology nursing standards.
  • Ensure medication management protocols are followed.
  • Demonstrate reliability, motivation, and flexibility.

Key Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Previous experience in Radiation Oncology and/or Medical Oncology is desirable but not essential.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carers.
  • Demonstrated clinical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate the clinical management of care.
  • Commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice principles.
  • Experience in Oncology desired.
