About the Role

MUFG Bank, Ltd., Australia is seeking a highly skilled Project Finance Associate to join our team. As a key member of our Project Finance origination team, you will play a critical role in supporting deal team lending, negotiating, and project management to deliver optimal risk, revenue, and profit outcomes from each transaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in marketing, securing, and closing project financing transactions, ensuring compliance with MUFG's credit and other policies.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of positive relationships with project sponsors, borrowers, advisors, legal counsels, funds, bank customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and review financial models, run sensitivities, and manage deal information on various internal systems.
  • Assist in preparing scope of works, managing due diligence deliverables, and reviewing documentation and due diligence reports.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have direct experience working in Project Finance within the banking and financial services industry. You will possess strong financial analysis acumen, Excel/financial modelling proficiency, and the ability to assess large sets of data, make expert judgments, and identify key risks.

You will also have strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work enthusiastically as a team player. A tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, or a related field is essential.
