We are actively seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering and have substantial experience within the mining and mineral processing sectors. This role is crucial as part of a skilled team managing a variety of projects.

Compensation: Competitive package with an optional compressed work schedule (9-day fortnight).

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Extensive experience (over 10 years) in the industry, particularly with wet plant/concentrator operations preferred.
  • Proven engineering delivery experience.
  • Familiarity with various processes and unit operations.
  • Capability to generate estimates and proposals.
  • Experience in coordinating studies and small projects, including managing changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate mechanical engineering deliverables such as package engineering, calculations, and plant design.
  • Conduct project reviews of mechanical deliverables.
  • Oversee design and drafting personnel.
  • Monitor delivery progress and timelines.

Additional Skills Required:

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience in delegating tasks and tracking progress.
  • Knowledge of databases and version control systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard engineering software (e.g., Sidewinder and Fluidflow).
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
