Australian Training Company is seeking a skilled Stonemasonry Apprentice

We are currently on the search for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our award-winning client organisation based at Yatala on the Southside of Brisbane.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in learning and a can-do attitude, able to problem solve and follow instructions. They will be physically fit to perform the heavy lifting involved and have a strong attention to detail.

The successful candidate will be trained in all aspects of Stonemasonry relating to marble, granite, and Engineered Stone Benchtops. They will learn how to cut, shape, polish, mitre, laminate, and install natural stone on state-of-the-art equipment.

The duties will include:

  • Preparing tops for undermount and drop-in sinks and vanities, vessel basins, hot plates, etc.
  • Loading and unloading stone onto and off of machinery and trucks.
  • Producing traditional edge finishes such as Lamb's Tongue, Half Round, Pencil Round, Arrissed, and other edge profiles.

We are looking for someone who is highly consistent and reliable, with a well-presented and polite demeanor. They will be one of the many faces of our business.

The successful candidate will need to have a WHS White Card and a driver's license with their own car.
