Senior Data Centre Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Data Centre Operations Manager to join our team at Macquarie Technology Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team of data centre facility shift technicians, site managers, and other support staff.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement data centre facility management processes and procedures to ensure optimal uptime, security, and compliance.
- Manage third-party contractors and vendors to ensure operational requirements are met.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of data centre facility processes, electrical and mechanical diagrams, and operational manuals.
- Lead and manage a team of data centre facility shift technicians, including rostering, work activities, KPIs, and development.
- Support the management of data centre infrastructure, including capacity planning, preventative maintenance, and security systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and strategies.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and certifications.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the data centre operations team.
- 10+ years of experience in data centre operations management.
- Proven record of managing data centre MEP technologies.
- Experience in capacity management and customer provisioning.
- Strong understanding of financial processes and ability to maintain operations within budget.
- Proven record of developing and executing data centre routine maintenance activities.
- Experience in policy and standards development, writing, and application.
- Good knowledge of building services, including structural, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Insight into sustainable operations and ESG reporting.
- Contractor management capability.
