Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for leading and managing the nursing team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the nursing staff as an exemplary role model for the profession of nursing
  • Develop and implement performance development plans for nursing team members
  • Support the Director of Nursing with cover during leave periods
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to implement efficient and effective centre workflows

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current Registration as a Nurse with AHPRA
  • Clinical experience as a nurse – 3 years nursing with at least 1 year oncology preferred
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and the ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines and standards
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills with empathy for patients and their carers
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
