Key duties include:

  • Linen Management: Ordering, rotating, folding, and managing clean linen, as well as frequent removal of dirty linen from floors and the chemical room.
  • Storage and Maintenance: Maintaining the linen storage area, cage area, bin room, chemical room, and linen storerooms to a high standard.
  • Supporting Room Attendants: Ensuring room attendants' trolleys are stocked with linen and assisting with removing dirty linen bags from trolleys regularly throughout the shift.
  • Inventory Management: Restocking linen storerooms multiple times per day.
  • Minor Maintenance: Performing minor, non-skilled maintenance requests at the direction of management, such as blocked sinks, toilets, and tightening hinges/screws on furniture.
  • Supply Chain Management: Accepting deliveries from suppliers and distributing to the correct location as required.
  • Team Support: Assisting room attendants when directed, including stripping linen and rubbish from rooms and making beds.
Requirements

We are seeking a highly motivated and task-oriented individual with a sound understanding of hotel housekeeping operations, preferably in a 4-star property. Experience with linen management is essential.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent team work skills, immaculate presentation, and excellent customer service skills. They must also be able to perform the inherent requirements of the role, which include frequent bending, lifting, stretching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and lifting of heavy/bulky items.
