Drive Innovation as a Senior iOS Software Engineer

We are seeking an accomplished Senior iOS Software Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge navigation features for Google Maps on CarPlay. As a member of our talented engineering team, you will have the opportunity to drive innovation and solve complex computer science problems.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and building the software platform for global engineering teams. This includes managing the full software lifecycle from defining requirements with Program Manager and UX to designing and overseeing implementation.

  • Lead projects and deliver new navigation, search, and AI features for Google Maps on iOS CarPlay.
  • Design and build the software platform for global engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills and be able to effectively coordinate testing with QA and analyze metrics to quantify project success. They should also be well-versed in optimizing product performance and leveraging new technologies to maintain an engaged edge and enhance user experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with iOS mobile software development.
  • 5 years of programming experience with Swift or Objective-C.

Prior experience with data structures/algorithms, iOS user interface, Swift UI, and navigation concepts is highly desirable. A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field is also preferred.
