Key Responsibilities
  • Implement comprehensive network designs within VMware-based Software-Defined Data Centers (SDDCs).
  • Develop automated processes for the deployment, configuration, and management of network devices from various vendors.
  • Implement proactive operational and security monitoring for network devices from multiple vendors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with networking best practices.
Essential Skills
  • Experience with enterprise routers and switches, including Cisco.
  • Strong understanding of SDDC networking principles and virtual networking.
  • Familiarity with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) fabric.
  • Knowledge of Radius-based identity and authentication controls integrated with Active Directory.
  • Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, VLAN configuration, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise firewalls.
  • Proficiency in working with Network Management Systems, SNMPv3, syslog, and log forwarding.
  • Able to troubleshoot complex network issues.
Desirable Skills
  • Automating network device configuration and backup/restore processes.
  • Familiarity with 3rd party automation tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Experience with DevSecOps models, CI/CD methodologies, and packet capture techniques.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
