Child Safety Educator

We are seeking an experienced Personal Safety Educator to join our team and contribute to the development of children's Protective Behaviours skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and impactful education programs to children aged 3-12 years old, adapting sessions to meet the specific needs of each group.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to engage and manage groups of children with empathy, patience, and understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality education programs that equip children with the knowledge and skills necessary to stay safe.
- Develop and implement tailored program plans to meet the specific needs of each group.
- Use strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and manage groups of children.
- Plan and deliver multiple sessions with organisational skills.
- Display empathy, patience, and understanding when dealing with sensitive topics.
- Be flexible and willing to travel within Melbourne.
Requirements:
- Experience in facilitation or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for abuse prevention and child safety.
- Ability to engage and manage groups of children.
- Organisational skills for planning and delivering multiple sessions.
- Empathy, patience, and understanding when dealing with sensitive topics.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel within Melbourne.
