About the Role:

The Kangan Institute is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Work Education Instructor to join our team at our Broadmeadows campus. As a Work Education Instructor, you will be responsible for training and assessing students within the Work Education, Transition Education and Initial Adult Literacy and Numeracy courses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver training programs that cater to the needs of students with mild intellectual disabilities
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to ensure they meet the required standards
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum that aligns with industry standards
  • Contribute to the development of assessment tools and resources that support student learning
  • Provide guidance and support to students with diverse learning needs

Requirements:

  • Currently studying or have completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110) including Design & Develop Assessment tools (TAEASS502 or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B) and address Adult language, literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills (TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A)
  • Relevant vocational qualifications
  • A Special Education qualification or demonstrated experience teaching and assessing high needs students
  • A background of teaching Literacy and Numeracy
