Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Dispensing Technician/Pharmacy Assistant. This is a full-time permanent position that offers opportunities for career advancement and personal growth.

About the Role

In this role, your primary focus will be delivering exceptional customer service by processing prescriptions efficiently and effectively. Your responsibilities will include assisting pharmacists with medication dispensing, learning and sharing product knowledge with customers, and providing recommendations using your training and experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in assembling and dispensing medications for prescriptions
  • Learn and relay product knowledge to customers
  • Assist with general customer service inquiries and provide recommendations
  • Counsel customers about medications
  • Process orders and unpack stock as required
  • Update customer files
  • Pack Dose Administration Aids

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a strong attention to detail. Previous experience in pharmacy as a Dispense Technician or Webster Packer is ideal, but not necessary. You will also need to hold relevant certifications, such as S2/S3 medications certification and Certificate III in Community Pharmacy.
