We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Construction Manager to join our team at Transgrid. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to lead the efficient construction management services associated with our transmission assets.

About the Role

  • This position involves the effective early planning and management of all construction work associated with transmission line and substation assets.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient utilisation of resources to enable accurate estimating, delivery, and performance monitoring of internal and external projects.
  • Core responsibilities include driving a progressive and visible Safety culture and mentoring and developing other Transgrid staff.

About You

  • You hold an appropriate qualification: electrical trade certificate, diploma in electrical engineering, project management or equivalent; or bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or civil), project management or equivalent.
  • You have in-depth knowledge and experience of project management, construction, testing and commissioning of transmission assets.
  • You possess knowledge in the application of WHS, preferably Cert IV in WHS and environmental legislation relative to duties of the position.
  • You are competent in the application of risk management methodologies.
  • You have sound interpersonal skills that facilitate the establishment of working relationships with stakeholders and peers.
  • You have the ability to lead and manage a diverse workforce located over multiple sites.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of electricity industry and participant expectations.
  • You have resource and people management skills.
  • You have highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • You hold a NSW Driver's Licence.
  • You demonstrate the ability to implement organisational change.
