About the role

You will report to the Engineering Manager within Coles' Chef Fresh facility and be responsible for supervising and leading the maintenance team. Your focus will be on ensuring manufacturing equipment & processes are maintained to a high level of reliability.

As a Maintenance Operations Leader, you will lead a team of engineering tradespeople and OEM technicians to ensure the factory is in optimum condition at all times.

About you and your skills
  • You have experience leading a team of tradespeople in a food or fast-paced manufacturing environment with a focus on continuous improvement and the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver results in quality and productivity.
  • You possess strong experience in preventative maintenance and resource planning.
  • You can lead, develop, and inspire team members, building capability, driving accountability, and creating a great place to work in a fast-moving, high-volume environment.
  • You hold a Trade Qualification in Industrial Electrical or Mechanical.
  • You are truly committed to optimizing the production process and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • You have an excellent understanding of safety systems such as LOTO, work permits, and hazardous work.
  • You are knowledgeable about the food processing industry and well-versed in food safety practices such as HACCP and GMP principles.
  • You have experience with CMMS.
  • You can manage MEX and the teams' activities using MEX.
  • You have proven experience in the use of Root Cause Analysis tools to find and resolve issues.

Your salary is expected to be around $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on your experience.

This role involves working in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
