Locum VR GP Opportunity in Outback Mining Town

This is a unique opportunity to work as a VR GP in a multidisciplinary health service located in a large outback mining town. The clinic offers a range of services including GP, imaging, allied health, ultrasound, and x-ray services.

The Opportunity
As a VR GP, you will be working alongside another doctor to provide services to a primarily elderly and adult population. The clinic operates from Monday to Friday between 08.30am – 17.00pm, with no on-call requirement. You will be paid $1500 per day and will have access to Best Practice software.
Appointment Types
Appointment types include pre-employment medical assessments and WorkCover for the local mining industry. You will also have the opportunity to work with a high focus on preventative medicine for those with chronic disease. Roughly 25% of appointments will be to complete pre-employment medicals, though if not confident, you can also book general appointments.
The Location
This outback mining town is full of outstanding heritage significance to our First Nations People as well as early European settlers. It is a perfect base for exploring stunning national parks, cafes, and more than 30 art galleries in the region.
Essential Criteria
To be eligible for this role, you must have unrestricted AHPRA specialist registration, RACGP fellowship, or equivalent, and full working rights. Prior experience with pre-employment medicals and WorkCover is also required.
