Monadelphous is seeking a highly skilled SMP Senior Project Engineer to lead a large-scale project at an existing mine site in Australia.

The project involves civil, SMP, and E&I works, including conveyor systems and mechanical hoisting works. The successful candidate will be responsible for workpack development, planning, scheduling, and executing the scope of work, as well as organizing project resources, equipment, and materials.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing project schedules and work packs, and ensuring timely completion of milestones
  • Providing technical advice and support to supervision and project staff
  • Identifying and mitigating hazards, and ensuring adherence to safety procedures and standards
  • Working in accordance with quality assurance procedures, client specifications, and ISO requirements

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in project engineering on large-scale resources construction projects
  • Previous experience working in an SMP engineering capacity, developing project schedules and work packs
  • Clear written and technical skills, with demonstrated capability in commercials, budgets, and construction metrics
  • A methodical approach, high attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and accuracy
  • Delivery-focused, with a high level of self-motivation and drive to support the project in delivering to a tight schedule
  • Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to foster interpersonal relationships across all levels
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering
  • Ability to undertake a 2:1 FIFO roster
