RoadTek Gold Coast (Nerang) is a commercial business within the Department of Transport and Main Roads, providing transport infrastructure solutions for projects across Queensland. We are seeking a skilled Workplace Safety Lead to support our operations unit in providing frontline advisory and support services to managers and operational staff.
In this role, you will work closely with health and safety practitioners across Infrastructure Management and Delivery (IMD) and throughout Queensland to ensure the delivery of a divisional model for workplace health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement operational safety initiatives and KPIs targeting improvements in incident prevention and effective monitoring of high-risk activities.
- Provide work health and safety advice and support to local operations teams.
- Collaborate with peer roles and functional leads in a matrix-style arrangement to achieve WHS objectives.
This role requires a strong understanding of workplace health and safety policies and regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
