Job Title

We are seeking a skilled Category Procurement Specialist to join our team in the field of Energy and Water procurement.

  • Main Responsibilities:

    1. Develop category strategies, business cases, and plans to ensure security of supply and drive innovation and value through supplier partnering.
    2. Compile and execute sourcing events, support negotiations, and establish contracts.
    3. Embrace an agile Supply Chain by being adaptive and flexible to accommodate emerging and changing business priorities.
    4. Project manage key initiatives.
    5. Support the development of the broader category portfolio strategy, value creation plans, and business cases.

  • Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • Good knowledge and understanding of Australia's National Electricity Market and its operation.
    • Technical knowledge across the SC value chain.
    • Ability to integrate Commercial, PSC, Supplier Management, and Purchasing sub-disciplines.
    • Safety and Sustainability as it relates to Supply Chain and Inclusive Procurement.
    • Commercial, negotiation, and deal-making skills.
    • Category Management, sourcing, and contracting with Total Cost Ownership approach.
    • Supplier Relationship Management.
    • Business Planning and Business Case development.
    • Working knowledge of regional and local Inclusive Procurement requirements.
