Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing thorough knowledge of electrical design and engineering techniques, planning schedules and budgets, and modifying drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on medium or large size engineering projects with minimum supervision.
  • Prepare accurate and complete designs and calculations as required to meet project requirements.
  • Project commercial administration, preparation of budgets, cash flow, labour forecast, progress claims, variations, and EOT in accordance with contract.
  • Estimating, planning, and designing electrical systems and power generation equipment.
  • Determining the type and arrangement of circuits, transformers, circuit-breakers, transmission lines, and other equipment.
  • Interpreting specifications, drawings, standards, and regulations relating to electric power equipment and use.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and assist engineers and/or designers to ensure effective quality product.
  • Ensure that effective methods and design/engineering techniques are used.
  • Resolve project issues and problems.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of site-based experience in systems, with experience in design, estimation, commercial administration, and commissioning. The ideal candidate will have deep experience and knowledge with international APAC manufacturers and suppliers, expertise in high voltage systems, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
