Job Opportunity: High Acuity Nursing
About the Role:This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our surgical services team on a full-time, permanent basis at our Fitzroy campus. The successful candidate will work in our 29-bed surgical ward and 3-bed HDU, providing high-quality nursing care to patients with higher acuity needs.
The key specialties on the ward include Orthopaedics and Urology. As a registered nurse in this role, you will be responsible for delivering safe, compassionate and effective care to patients, as well as providing clinical leadership and support within the HDU.
Delivering patient-centred care that meets the needs of individuals and their families
Providing clinical leadership and support to other staff members
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Supporting education, mentoring and clinical supervision for junior staff
About You:
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care or High Dependency Nursing (or working toward completion)
Proven clinical experience in a high-acuity or HDU/ICU setting- at least 2 years
Strong communication, assessment and clinical decision-making skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to person-centred care and professional excellence
