About the Role

  • Informs and presents to clients on the current investment landscape and themes.
  • Presents investment opportunities catering towards CP's UHNW and HNW private clients.
  • Introduces and positions the CP investment proposition providing themes, insights and the due diligence process to private client investors.
  • Discusses investment opportunities across multiple asset classes, including fixed income solutions, direct and managed equities, property, structured solutions and alternatives.
  • Educates, trains and coaches Private Bankers regarding investment opportunities and investment markets.
  • Develops new business leads and opportunities from existing Commonwealth Bank clients and from external networks.
  • Presents investment updates and conducts roundtable discussions with existing and potential investors.
  • Leads and facilitates deep conversations with clients for wealth engagement.
  • Engages stakeholders across CBA to gain a deeper understanding of the business proposition to enhance engagement with both bankers and clients.
  • Supports Private Bankers in their engagement with clients around investment insights, thematics and broad investment opportunities with CP.
  • Measures business growth and client satisfaction for both team and management reporting.

Role Requirements

  • Discusses current investment market environment updating clients on changes in financial markets consistent with Investment & Research Team house views.
  • Shares insights and expertise across all asset classes including FX, equities, fixed income, international and domestic solutions, real estate, credit, private equity/alternatives.
  • Communicates the CP value proposition to support client meetings to drive positive investment outcomes.
  • Clocks, mentors, seeks feedback and supports team capabilities to deliver CP strategy into various segments of Commonwealth Private stakeholders.
  • Takes a collaborative approach to client management working effectively with a broad subset of Private Bankers and their private clients.
  • Built trust and confidence by engaging and working with Private Bankers, business partners and external providers.
  • Conducts regular meetings with clients to update them on their holdings and investment markets.
  • Delivers business growth goals and milestones.
  • Understands and adheres to complex legal, regulatory, risk and policy frameworks.
  • Operates within all compliance, audit and risk requirements.
  • Completes and maintains compliance requirements and continual education (CPD points) as required by role.
  • Built constructive and authentic relationships within CP to ensure engagement is optimized with Bankers and the CP clients.
  • Built business and account plans to meet revenue targets that align with the broader CP objectives.

About You

  • You'll have a Bachelor of Commerce, Economics, Finance, Business or related discipline.
  • You'll have 10+ years frontline experience in financial markets/investment management/investment market sales.
  • You'll have experience across broad asset class spectrum including Equities, Fixed Income, Real Estate and Alternatives (Private Equity/Hedge Funds/Credit).
  • You'll have strong presentation skills.
  • You'll have experience in UHNW/HNW client segment.
  • You'll have experience in driving business development and organisational change.
