We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to perform preventative maintenance, services, and repairs on plant, equipment, and facilities.
- Scheduled maintenance, complex diagnostics, troubleshooting, and high-level problem solving and reporting.
- Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical equipment.
- Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, checking fluid levels, rotating tyres, and greasing plant.
- Test-drive vehicles to ensure smooth operation.
- Prepare and update records of service work conducted and maintain scheduled maintenance activities.
- Source quotes from external suppliers for parts.
- Repair and maintain other plant and equipment as required.
- Possess relevant experience in agricultural work, particularly with servicing or maintaining machinery brands like Christiaens, GTL, Traymaster, Thilot & Hoving Holland.
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.
- Exhibit good attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Be highly organised, proactive, innovative, and methodical in approach.
