About Westrac was our previous job title, but now it's time to meet the new Chrome Plating Specialist.

The Chrome Plating Specialist uses a high-velocity oxygen fuel gun (HVOF) machine to chrome plate cylindrical rods. The main goal is to ensure quality and safety standards are met while working closely with workshop supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the HVOF machine to chrome plate cylindrical rods of high standard.
  • Work in collaboration with workshop supervisors to achieve project goals.
  • Develop strong relationships with colleagues.
  • Meet rigorous quality control measures and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed on schedule.

Requirements:

  • A proven track record in operating an HVOF machine, chrome plating, or related fields such as cylindrical grinding would be advantageous.
  • Possess a valid High Risk Licence – Dogging & Forklift.
  • Have experience as a Mechanical Trade Assistant.
  • Display a positive attitude with excellent work ethic.
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively use tools for risk assessment and safety management like Job Safety Analysis and Take 5s.
