Job Opportunity

The Mater Cancer Care Centre is designed to provide a holistic experience for patients, with specialist suites, consultation rooms, and palliative care services all under one roof.

Main Responsibilities
  • Clinical consultancy for Medical Oncology services within multiple hospital locations
  • Clinical consultancy as required, for regional sites
  • Participate in on-call roster if required, conducting regular inpatient ward rounds which incorporate teaching as well as direction and monitoring of patient care
  • Supervise and teach trainee registrars in the outpatient clinic where required
  • Conduct teaching sessions with undergraduate and postgraduate students and others as necessary
  • Provide adequate recording of consultations and provide specialist opinion to referring medical practitioners
  • Work in coordination with Director of Medical Oncology

  • Positive interpersonal and communication skills
  • A commitment to patient safety and quality improvement
  • Effective and demonstrated clinical problem-solving skills to maximize patient care within the multidisciplinary team
  • Medical degree registered with the relevant authority
  • Fellowship of a prestigious medical institution or equivalent
  • Registered as a Medical Oncologist with the relevant authority
