Service Technician Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our service department in Mackay. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient maintenance of our clients' fleet of Sandvik Mining equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out general mechanical duties, maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis work on all Sandvik Mining equipment.
  • Perform mechanical maintenance duties as per maintenance plans while upholding the integrity of the equipment and ensuring safe operation is not compromised.
  • Provide feedback for efficient maintenance planning improvements.
  • Record keeping of parts usage, equipment monitoring, time records.
  • Adhere to all policies & procedures, especially EHS policies.

Requirements

You have a qualification in a mechanical trade plus a minimum 3 years' post-trade experience. Experience with U/G Coal Loaders is essential, and previous experience with Sandvik equipment and DES certification will be looked upon favourably.

You must have a strong commitment to EHS, keeping safety at the forefront of everything you do. You must also have the right to live and work in this location, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass drug & alcohol tests, reference checks, and police checks.
