Senior Role for Experienced Civil Designer
We are seeking an experienced civil designer with 5-8 years of relevant experience to lead design projects, mentor junior staff, and work closely with our engineering and project management teams to deliver high-quality civil infrastructure designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design process for civil infrastructure projects including roads, drainage systems, water and sewer networks, and site developments.
- Prepare detailed design calculations, reports, and construction documentation.
- Develop complex 3D models and perform earthworks optimization.
- Assist with stormwater management.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities and manage compliance with local standards.
- Provide technical guidance to drafters and junior designers.
- Assist with construction phase services including technical queries and design modifications.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Contribute to proposals and technical specifications.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5-8 years' experience in civil design for infrastructure and development projects.
- Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience with 12d Model software.
- Strong knowledge of Australian design standards and QLD regulatory requirements.
- Experience with tropical region civil infrastructure and stormwater management.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Strong project management capabilities and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
