State Tax Consultant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a State Tax Consultant. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including tax due diligence, structuring, post-deal implementation, advisory, and updates.

About the Role:

  • You will be exposed to a variety of day-to-day tasks, working directly and autonomously with clients to identify duty and land tax exposures, provide advice on tax planning opportunities, and assist in managing tax risks.
  • You will build ongoing relationships with a wide range of clients across various industries, providing highly valued advice and assistance with duty and land tax compliance, planning, and disputes resolution.
  • You will stay up-to-date with developments in state taxes and other regulatory and tax updates, actively participating in training and professional development.

Requirements:

  • A completed Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent, with recent M&A/transactional experience being advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work in a client-facing team environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to demonstrate a keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Able to work independently, with strong personal initiative and a willingness to take responsibility for their own work.
